Staying here with my wife on a cold, rainy day, but we somehow don't mind. It's a cozy, rustic cabin with a Little House on the Prairie-type feel to it built into the side of a barn, but it's comfortable and basic amenities are all here. The host, Shelley, has been friendly and attentive, and outfitted the cabin with plenty of linens, appliances, utensils and anything else we need to call it home for the weekend. Our neighbors, besides Shelley, are a pair of curious goats, a friendly hound named Bubba Lou, and a cadre of chickens. It sounds ridiculous, but if you get along well with animals, you'll be fine here. Anyone in love with the outdoors will find plenty do do nearby with caverns to explore, mountains to climb, tour guides to lead the inexperienced, and horseback trails for giving your boots a rest. On rainy days, there's Wi-Fi provided for laptops, and a TV/DVD player for movies, but no cable, so make sure your favorite shows are recorded while you're gone, because you're not watching them here. Also, if you're expecting a call, I wouldn't plan on getting it until you come down the mountain. Cell phones are kind of sketchy unless you're on a super premium carrier.

This is the best place ever! If I could live somewhere besides where I live it would be here. Great price for what you get.

Beautiful renovated barn with comfortable beds and most of the amenities of home. We enjoyed using the fire pit and looking at the stars in the evening. It's quiet and peaceful there.

This is a great down home kinda place. Everyone is treated like a guest not a customer.

Seneca House is beautiful and cozy. I always try to get a room there when I'm in the area.

Long story short: this is a recommended getaway for anyone looking to get "off the grid" for a couple of days that doesn't involve pitching a tent. Cold drinks and hot showers for a fraction of the price of the other local cabins, and the host has earned her "Superhost" status on AirBnB.
