Fantastic view from our tent of the Seneca Rocks and two Porta Potties

situated prominently in the line of sight 25 feet from a swing set for the kids to play on. This place will do in a pinch, but too bad they can't make the effort to make this place more inviting.

Yokum's Motel rocks! I stayed two nights there recently and have no complaints whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, if you're looking for something comparable to the Washington Hilton, you're not going to find it here. Still, Yokum's Motel provides comfortable, clean lodging for anyone wishing to visit this beautiful and remote part of West Virginia.

The location is great for star gazing and the Seneca rock view. But I would like to put one star because of the maintenance. One shelter is totally burnt from some fire incident may b and it is still there, which is creepy. Also the restrooms are horrible and the tippi is full of bugs.

I spent a week there and for $8.00 a night to sleep in my tent, the price couldn't be beat. Mary went out of her way to make sure our group had everything we needed. The bath house could be a little larger, and that was my only complaint.

Teepees are flooded and had birds nest inside! The Princess Snowbird cabin was not worth 140 dollars per night. The bed was so old and worn that it caved in the middle and me and my husband were so crowded and uncomfortable. It creaked so loudly like it would fall apart everytime someone moved. Also the pillow cases and sheets had long black hairs all over them and were not clean. We had to use our own sheets and pillows. The furniture is old and doesnt match. All the decorations are from dollar tree and also dont match. There were giant nasty silverfish centipedes crawling around. This cabin is barely worth 50 dollars a night. Save your money and camp instead.

We spent a Saturday night here camping in a tent. It is a field with some shade trees here and there next to a small river and a highway. Expect some noise from the highway, and the band playing across the river. Bothered my wife some but not me. The bathrooms were poorly maintained and dirty. Only one shower for each sex. The communal water tap was out of service so I had to find a working one at an unoccupied RV site to get water and the water had a sulfur smell and after taste that was annoying. There was a fire ring (good) and a decrepit pick nick table black with mold and rusty nails popping up,( a little too rustic) a partially burned down cabin, junk laying around, some beat looking fake tepees for rent and just an overall run down ambiance. When I registered an employee was telling me how he got his visiting parents a first come first serve site at the state park up the road which was full by the time we got there. That says it all right there. You have to reserve well in advance at Seneca Shadows or try to get one of the few first come first serve sites.
